Non NHS Fees

Some services are not covered by the NHS and a charge will be made in line with the BMA scale of fees.

These include medical examinations e.g.:

  • HGV licence
  • Employment medicals
  • Driving insurance etc
  • Sporting activities
  • Adoption
  • Fostering

as well as certain certificates e.g.:

  • Private insurance claims
  • Private sick notes
  • Holiday cancellations etc

Foreign Travel

A charge is made for non-NHS injections.  Please ensure you arrange to have your travel vaccinations at least 4 weeks prior to travel.


Travel Clinic

The Practice Nurse can advise on vaccination requirements for patients travelling abroad and give vaccinations as required.  In order that your vaccinations have time to take effect before your holiday it is important to arrange to have them at least two months before you travel.

Full contraceptive services are available which include emergency contraception, giving advice about emergency contraception and where appropriate, the supplying or prescribing of emergency contraception.

Well Woman

This gives women an opportunity to have routine health checks carried out by our Practice Nurses. You are welcome to discuss problems such as smears, menopause, incontinence, contraception, HRT, etc.

Well Man

We appreciate that men are also interested in preventative health and appointments can be made with a GP in the usual way.

Chronic Asthma Clinic

Review and monitoring is offered to those patients who suffer from asthma.   The clinic supports patients in the management of their condition.

COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) Clinic

Provides support to patients who suffer respiratory problems such as chronic bronchitis and emphysema.  The clinic provides patients with regular review of their condition, measurement of respiratory flow, smoking advice and an assessment of treatment.

CVD (Cardio Vascular Disease)

Diabetes Clinic

Review and monitoring is offered for those patients who suffer from diabetes, both insulin and non-insulin dependant.  The clinic supports patients in the management of their condition together with advice on lifestyle, diet, weight and glucose testing.

Hypertension and CHD (Coronary Heart Disease) Clinics

Provides support to those patients who suffer with high blood pressure and heart problems.  These clinics provide support to patients in the management of their condition, regular monitoring and testing, advice, diet and healthy lifestyle.

Anti-Coagulation / Rheumatology Monitoring

Baby Vaccination and Immunisation

These clinics provide valuable inoculation against disease to babies and children under the age of five.
